2015 Chevrolet Impala SS Release Date - SS ( Super Sport ) name was first used back in 1961 and since then , has become Chevrolet's signature ' s performance on many models . Currently , the Impala was in the fourth generation and the SS version brings improved the amazing power of 305-425 HP , depending on the version . Now , the tenth -generation Impala is on the horizon , shifting its focus from being a muscle car family car once feared plain and simple , but the SS models will still be there to tickle the fancy of practicality and performance .
