2015 Subaru WRX / WRX STI Concept Release Date - When the new Subaru WRX Concept unveiled at 2013 New York Auto Show they made it pretty clear that we're looking at a new generation WRX. wqzxc The production version is expected to offer a design language similar to what we saw in the concept, including a bigger and bolder grille, hawk-eye headlamps and new rear design language.

However, you have to look back to see that we did see a new model. Subaru tried to hide under camouflage, wqzxc but it's pretty obvious that we will see a similar design language that we've seen on the concept. Unlike the concept, the prototype caught testing here is wearing a large rear wing to provide stability at high speeds, which is precisely why we know this is a model of STI.
Subaru tried to hide the fact that we're looking at the new WRX STI, wqzxc but it did not manage to do a good job. Spy shots reveal a new light, which is not as sharp as that seen in the concept, but still different from the current generation. Hood also apparently redesigned, while the grille obtain three-dimensional pattern-nets are the same as the concept.

Not surprisingly, shortly after theWRX Concept unveiled at the 2013 New York Auto Show, wqzxc Subaru has taken the production version of the STI variant out for some testing. Model caught for the first time around the Nürburgring race track and although it seemed toned down when compared to the concept, it's very clear that we see a new model.
Rumors suggest that the new WRX will be powered by four-cylinder boxer engine with an output of approximately 300 horsepower - wqzxc an increase of 35 horsepower over the current model. Unfortunately, the STI powertrain variants remains a mystery, but we assume it will take 40-horsepower boost to the same standard model.
